1.07.2013

back in a new york groove.

visiting ferris, elita, and yanik in new york.

first night out. I desperately wanted to go to this cool spot, wren, but it was way too crowded.

we ended up at this whisper bar instead.

stopped at this random italian spot as well

then elita's recommendation, some sort of maple syrup flavored shot...tastes just like maple syrup!

vietnamese food to follow

an ess-a-bagel bagel to start the next day: garlic bagel with nova, scallion cream cheese, capers, cucumbers, red onion

apartment viewing in chelsea. freaking amazing rooftop views.

back in soho, snack number one

snack number two

the nutcracker at brooklyn academy of music. not the best performance..still fun to watch.

followed by sushi in brooklyn.

 j-pan.

 then drinks in midtown.

(dinner round two. moonstruck via seamless)

shakeshack less than 12 hours later. and because it was raining, I ate it inside of a starbucks. no shame whatsoever.

that shake shack stack and cheese fries were only a pre-game to the brunch with may to follow.

then a cookie at city bakery. do you notice how it's literally nonstop eating?

some light shopping at the union square street market.

and no surprise, we eat again. another snack...buns

then, off to see a few department store windows before dinner.

moonstruck -- otra vez.

I went for the largest reuben ever this time, per ferris's recommendation. omg.

then we're all back to ferris's place. and we eat again.

a quick business meeting...

next night, went max brenner with elita for a pre-dinner dinner.

I need this dude's hat >>

crispy coated waffle fries dusted with cocoa and chili powder

savory waffle sandwich

cocoa with mini malt balls for dessert

now to the real dinner. a sayonara meal at brooklyn star in billyburg.
are these mason jar classes hipster enough?

had to get the fried chicken.

but mac and cheese was the star of the meal.

I kinda want this right now. seriously.

missed out on doughnut plant, but a fun trip nonetheless. can't wait to go back.

thank you to ferris for hosting; and yanik, elita, and may, for making it out to chill with me!
