met with catherine in sf yesterday. and man was it good hanging out again. hadn't seen her in about a month and it was nice to hear about her full time job at european sleepworks. luckily she's done with training so she was able to spend some time out at the westfield. I had to make a few returns myself. unfortunately I was late. I walked to the bart station only to realize that I left my wallet at home. this meant a lot of lost time and I had to go back and get my wallet. all that walking was basically exercise I suppose. I did get a bit sweaty. ferris ended up joining later because he was on-call for jury duty and luckily didn't have to go!
some walking around led us to this gourmet chocolate shop. didn't even notice the prices, some of which were $80+ per pound (some local, some imported). but once weighed out, they were only about $2-3 each. catherine was craving a little sweet bite, and offered to buy me one as well. thanks catherine!
cappuccino. and in the shape of the cup too. yum.
lavender chocolate. very floral tasting. interesting altogether.
chocolate with peanut butter and salted caramel. very good.
some shopping for catherine. she came with cash and an empty canvas bag. and then left with change and a bag full of clothes. ferris and I were a bit shopped out from earlier in the week. I really just did not have any money to spend unfortunately. but returning clothes and getting money back into my account did feel good.
decided to just eat in the food court. catherine ordered thai curry from the vegan place. ferris had terriyaki chicken. I had a fattening western burger (always a sucker for bbq sauce) and "frings". bascially both onion rings and fries -- definitely helps make the decision easier when dealing with that inevitable tossup between the two. I love this food court. then a deep conversation about the world of "ok cupid" and cyber stalking. (who knows, I may sign up soon). then gelato for dessert. all meals seem to end the same way...
a good day.
'twas a lot of fun! I was so sleepy later that day and didn't get the chance to study like I should have. napped instead. I did get a chance to stock up on groceries from trader joes. ended up making spicy herb grilled chicken with a mushroom marsala sauce. now that I have a thermometer, the chicken always comes out perfectly moist. a successful dinner. wish I had a pic.
Charles your eyes are beautiful up close! I'm jealous lawl.
