there's nothing you can't do.

now you're in new york, continued...
friday.
went out to pick up some vietnamese fare to start off the day.

ferris and I went to meet may in chelsea market. elita had some work, and yanik took a nap.
there was an exhibit promoting the history channel's swamp people; saw some crocodiles, ate some red beans and rice.

lunch at the lobster place. super fresh seafood.

 lobster rolls

went to visit high line park -- an old stretch of train tracks converted into a park!

next stop, the moma
edible candy exhibit
jackson pollack
 monet's lily pads
left moma to grab cheesecake at junior's. the best cheesecakes ever

 times square

peter luger steakhouse. the best steakhouse in new york city.
the waiter was not the friendliest dude, and really didn't care much for us. he was going to serve us, and we were going to like what he put in front of us. no questions asked. didn't even ask us how we wanted our meat done..
delicious and perfectly cooked, rare and medium rare. broiled the same way it has been since 1887.

with "hash browns"
the damage
heading back to the east village...
saxon+parole
the front was closed, but the gentlemen kindly led us to the speakeasy in the back -- cool stuff

saturday.
on the menu today, dim sum in chinatown

among the wall of accolades includes a feature in the asian playboy magazine...
not a unicorn.
my favorite item of the bunch: sticky rice

 stuffed
but doesnt mean there isn't room for more eating.
just had to stop at the eggettes cart. the smell is invigorating
 hot dogs post shopping

coincidental grand opening of georgetown cupcake in soho

ferris and I took an additional two for the road, which we then enjoyed at cafe habana, post dinner
sitting in the same spot as justin and mila in friends with benefits.
the famous grilled corn. so good, I want to recreate this at home
momofuku's crack pie. shit is ridiculous. super sweet and buttery, just the way I like it.
really was a day of eating.

sunday.
doughut plant officially has some of the best donuts ever
creme brulee doughnut: yeast doughnut filled with vanilla cream and topped with caramelized sugar.
offsetting the sweet donuts with sour pickles!
lunch at katz's deli immediately following doughnuts and pickles
 corned beef and pastrami reuben
katz himself! ...and he lived in san francisco in the 60s
went to check out central park by the natural history museum.
we graced the grounds before heading out for coffee nearby. (I went for a diet coke and burger at the sight of shake shack)
rushing to the airport in the snow, I was pretty stressed
but finally got to relax on the plane and watch the grammys!
seriously going to have to move to nyc asap. awesome trip despite my undoubted weight gain.
