sushi's back on the menu.

after being on a "sushi break" for quite a while, I had a sushi lunch today at c u sushi. an ultimate salmon roll. CA Roll, baked salmon inside, fresh salmon outside. yum. it's safe to say I will be frequenting sushi again.

I came home, watched a little mad men (you got it) and (kinda) studied for psych 1.

our dish rack was literally overflowing with clean dishes (since no one took the initiative to put any away). it was like playing tetris -- finding an empty space to fit in a clean dish. so, I decided to start putting away the dishes. but while I was away, I guess the distribution of weight was uneven and the entire rack fell into the sink and I had to rewash everything. very fun. I agree with momof2's, review: "piece of junk." good thing it was left here by the previous owners and we didn't waste $19.99+tax.

made salt and pepper chicken with lemon and mixed vegetables. I meant for it to be eaten with sauteed noodles, but got so hungry and couldn't hold out. ate the noodles first and then went back to make the chicken.

ferris shared half a cheeseburger with avocado, bacon, and spinach (by accident) with mustard and tabasco ketchup on a wheat bun. real good. finished with a little cookie dough.

idol is on soon! (team garcia for the time being)

ehh.

the weather is terrible. boots don't keep your legs dry.

I completely forgot to do an assignment for my thesis seminar yesterday, and now that's it past due, I don't want to do it. have a midterm thursday that I amn't* studying for.

I did finish the first season of mad men and am now into the second (I literally started watching last thursday, ee). don draper is kick ass. I'm really digging the whole 60s thing too. I can't wait until I'm older so I can evoke this style. very trendy. I'm probably addicted because I can't seem to stop. on the tv note, I plan to watch big love and the sopranos over spring break (whoo hoo). and who knows, maybe damages too.

hmm, had a leftover salad for dinner and a hot dog with mustard (which I have been dying for). btw, did you hear that they're considering remodeling the hotdog? blasphemy. if you choke on a hotdog while eating it, you're an idiot and shouldn't be eating them in the first place.

this reminds me, I asked ferris to order for me the next time we go out to eat. (this is my attempt at eating healthier and staying away from burgers)

now it's american idol/olympics. my priorities just aren't straight. I have pharm school post bacc and PTCB stuff to do and it's definitely not getting done. I even entertained the thought of culinary school the other day, but I just can't support the lifestyle I want with that (range rover and g-class are just a taste), so I'm over it. it'll be $cience all the way...(just hope it won't be a sad life)

Oh, and I found out that I will be on the panel to taste donuts for perspective vendors since the king pin gig is up. oh god, I'm so excited. I want this now. and hey, healthier than bagels! (thanks patrice! i nearly cried, haha)

*contraction of "am not." it should exist, right? I always use it. there is not another way to say it. I mean, "are not" is "aren't," so technically it should work. maybe the grammar police will be on my back.

dreadful sunday.

just finished my annotation. now onto studying for biochem -- which is not going very well. I fear this will be a repeat of science classes earlier on in my academic career. ugh.

at least there's left over domino's in the fridge to cheer me up. they really improved! (the new crust is good)

pepperoni and olive (with the new zesty tomato sauce) -- $5.99

and chicken and mushroom and diced tomatoes (with white sauce...delish!) -- $5.99

the $2 charge sucked, but overall not bad. thanks zahid! very timely.

and I only watched the amazing race today. nothing else! (aren't you proud ferris?) woo hoo.

post secret 2.21.

who submitted this for me?

[tits.jpg]

we clearly share the same secret at the very least (when you change "hiding" to "trying to cover" and "under" to "with"). This is why I hate side profiles (or any profile for that matter).

"salad" for dinner.

I want a cheese steak burrito from la burrita for dinner. my roommate suggests a salad from gypsy's. so, I'm trying to convince him that this burrito is kind of like a salad.

ingredients in the salad:

*croutons
*meat
*parmesan cheese
*hearts of romaine
*tomatoes
*dressing
*piece of garlic bread

ingredients in the burrito:

*tortialla (which is like the croutons you'd normally get but big and flattened)
*meat
*cheese (a lot. yum!)
*onions
*lettuce
*salsa (basically tomatoes)
*gucamole (hey, it's good fat!)
*sour cream (the dressing)
*served with a side of chips (which is like the garlic bread but deep fried)

its almost low carb!

not so bad, right? and diet coke of course. damn this looks so freakin' delicious. and maybe throw in that apple fritter I never got for dessert. (clearly, this is why I'm fat)

**UPDATE: I ate all aforementioned. I am a fatass.

shopping dilemma.

I need new clothes, but I'm fat. thus, I cannot buy new clothes no matter how much I want to. I'm left buying only shoes and accessories -- items I can supposedly wear after I lose weight (who knows when that will be at this rate).

I think I'll splurge for a new pair of sunglasses. a classic pair of ray-ban aviators. I think I look better in sunglasses because it hides my face. how sad is that?

but now what size? I guess that's one of the drawbacks of online shopping...not being able to try the stuff on. though I hear bigger is better (I'm stuck between 58mm vs. 62mm), I don't want to look goofy. but who am I to worry about looking goofy when I have a big body and ugly clothes to worry about. this is really pathetic.

waking up hungry.

I woke up late and I'm starving right now. Of course I go through my usual routine of web surfing before starting anything serious.

I've been craving a donut since yesterday and now it's at an all time high. Just look at that apple fitter: isn't it glorious? of course, I can't be eating this because its extremely caloric and I'm very overweight. I didn't even work out for the past two days. lifetime member of the fat club too.

cravings are a bitch.

2.19.2010

a boring friday night.

so far, I have watched a little tv (and by a little, I mean a lot), ate leftovers for dinner, and enjoyed a banana and skippy (so good).

here I am, alone, sitting in bed. I told myself I would get some work done for my senior thesis (it deals with minorities living near hazardous waste facilities -- very boring stuff). of course, easier said than done. I swear, annotated bibliographies are the absolute worst!

Now, my procrastination continues on the web, but not for long I hope...

Oh, and I want to send a thanks to my roommate ferris for killing a horribly gross spider for me. (I have this phobia of them.)

a little about myself.

I'm a student, but not for long (graduating in may from cal). I like to eat, watch tv, and sleep -- clearly I'm lazy. I like to sing just about anything too. Photography is another interest. Oh, and I'm always down for gambling.

2.18.2010

dinner.

why do I do the things I do? I had a burger (the greatest food on earth), curly fries, and ice cream for dinner. very unhealthy and I didn't even work out today. I often ask this: "Why does laziness always win?" sigh, lif'e's not fair.

tv.

I've decided to compile a list of tv shows I'm currently following on a weekly basis.

sundays:

*the amazing race (i want to be on this show)
*american dad
*family guy
*undercover boss

mondays:

*chuck
*the big bang theory
*how i met your mother
*csi: miami

tuesdays:

*american idol
*pawn stars

wednesdays:

*american idol (again)
*cougar town
*the middle
*modern family
*csi: ny

thursdays:

19 shows?! ehh, I love tv (maybe a little too much).

currently catching up on:

*mad men (awesome and very promising)

first post.

yup. I've decided to start my own blog. I haven't really thought about just what yet, but here we go... procrastination!
