11/5 thru now.

last week, we celebrated julie's birthday at cheesecake factory. happy 23rd! I had a bleu cheese burger and half a cheesecake. combo of chocolate cake and cheesecake. just up my alley. finished the other half when I got home while watching the nanny. portions did seem to appear smaller, which is surprising!

went to kim's apartment afterward. played scramble on kim's iphone (very addicting). reminisced about old disney shows and watched an episode of boy meets world. pretty nostalgic stuff.

saturday: starbucks and paranormal activity 2 with ferris, marisol and danny. just as freaky as the first. and got my heart racing at several moments. recommend it if you're into scary movies. good prequel.

week: watched my tv shows, save for the abc wednesday comedy lineup due to the cma's. worked a little bit. lots of shopping this week, and little funds. thank goodness for credit. socks and shoes (grey suede chukka boots). I just counted: 21 new pairs of socks -- woo hoo! new cardigan and shirt. picked up some stuff for my sister as well.

went to noe valley with ferris and catherine yesterday for a relaxing dinner. the fatty that I am, I had the burger with a side of veal and sage ravioli in a light cream sauce. who does that?! apparently, I do. so good. no regrets. crab cake salads for the other two.

thought we wanted donuts, so we walked into a place with the hugest cinnamon roll donuts and apple fritters. we passed.

instead, we ended the night with lindt truffle squares and a ritter sport (courtesy of ferris's dad's store -- thanks). drank a little wine, all reds. and a photo shoot followed thereafter. photos still to come (I forgot my camera, so we used catherine's.) we shared awkward moments together through the night, only we could understand: asking for free bread, stopping the waitress from taking away our stuff when we're still not finished and etc. loved it.

that's all. back to tv and studying. (in that order)

lsat, again.

I decided that I'm going to take the lsat once more in december. I really want to apply to good schools this round, and in order to do so, I need a higher score. so now I'm studying again. or at least trying to. not to mention, I'm looking for full time work. I don't even know what kind of position to apply for. but now with callisto, I hope to have a better shot at finding something.

still have to work on apps and make a dent in my personal statement.ehh.

in other news, the election results finally came in and I'm proud of boxer. meg lost, even after pouring millions of her own dollars to "buy a seat." and congrats to newsom and harris. and my condolences to pelosi. she lost all her power. hopefully she gets a good position otherwise she may just resign. unfortunately, I didn't get to vote because I was not registered. not very good, and not an excuse. I actually cared about the propositions, most of which went the way I would've voted. I normally don't like politics but I am trying to become more educated. it does make for good cocktail talk, that is when I mingle with the elites of society, whenever that is. all in all, its important to be informed.

I have to work an overnight shift tonight, and I'm not looking forward to it. It just hurts my productivity. With a new job, this part of my life will be over soon. but hey, it's good pocket money -- food, drinks, shoes.

PS. tv news. I now follow "the event" and am all caught up within a span of two days. good show and no new episode until next week. also started "the walking dead", and that looks promising. still behind on all my CSIs. don't know if I'll ever catch up. gotta watch "chuck" and "boardwak empire" before I fall behind. "nurse jackie", "dexter", and "damages" on the back burner. all caught up on my 10 other weekly shows. life at home is boring, so I live for my tv.

halloween/morning after.

went to the thriller ball in downtown at the westin st. francis. surprisingly good music, and lots of people with dedicated costumes. many asian girls dressed up as mario and luigi, must've been a "thing". sid definitely had the costume of the night, an iphone, and gained plenty of attention, no doubt. kim was a biker chick, ferris and I chilean miners, chris clark kent, sean golfer, and richard a soccer player.

then a run-in with chris collins, project runway contestant, with the hometown of san francisco. unfortunately his designs were lackluster and not very memorable. ferris was the one who spotted him and one of chris's friends even asked how he noticed him in the dark dance room so quickly!

first kim and sid checked out early, and then ferris and I. I was pretty pathetic and just hung around the group, never venturing off on my own. I don't know why I do this to myself. I suppose it was not only because I was sleepy like kim, but also just uncomfortable. I had all resources available and still didn't take advantage. only excuse was that I didn't seize opportunity. I'll have sid/ferris be my wingman -- they'd do a good job. went back to the room, which was luckily upstairs, to lay down. kim was hungry and craving a hot dog, but the carts were closed. lights were off and we were ready to sleep, and then in comes some of sean's friends from irvine, disorderly and ended up causing some real world/jersey shore type of drama in the end. one girl fell on my stuff and almost crushed my dior homme sunglasses from a birthday a few years back. not cool. this is the same girl who later was passed out in the chair while sean "comforted" her. (I assume the making out comforted her.) another had us guess her ethnicity (she was half thai) and costume (she was wonder woman) whilst coming onto ferris and I, with a remote control in hand. sid came back with some pizza and richard yelled and pushed the uninvited guests out (thank you richard!): both girls aforementioned, another girl (petite asian, richard's type) who referred to richard as "special", and a couple: one fat indian girl was making out with a white guy, clearly out of her league, in the bathroom. then chris and sean were arguing on the verge of physical aggression, all the while we were just spectating and enjoying the pizza (bbq chicken and pesto). truly felt like a scene from MTV, quite the situation.

rather eventful, not to mention very memorable.

the next morning we were all hungry and finally made one of the most disappointing trips to the cheesecake factory I have ever made. from the clearly day-old bread, to the microwaved-looking eggs and overly toasted/crispy bagels, it was terrible. sid's onion rings cold, richard's lemonade too sweet, and my french fries, a little salty. the sandwich portion also was smaller than I remember. still, I finished it all. service was also rather disappointing. never going back for brunch again.

went back to the room and finished the 49ers game, which was pretty good, and found this by richard's bed. not saying it was his but it was definitely used. can't believe that the housekeeping staff who turn down the bed would not notice a tube like this. makes me really question just how well these rooms are cleaned.

view from the elevator. great view of coit tower.

BARTed back to millbrae and entertained the thought of spontaneously jumping on a plane and jetting off somewhere, while at SFO. maybe some day.
