midterm tomorrow.

yes, I have a big midterm tomorrow. supposedly the hardest of the mcb ones, but I just can't concentrate. studying is not my thing.

luckily I was able to have a good dinner and watch tv (part of my lengthy wednesday lineup). went to tuk tuk thai with grace and ferris -- really good food! the portions were small but filling. the to-go containers were amazing. definitely kept it to wash and re-use (because they're that good). ordered the fried chicken and curry rice. then had a piece of fried banana! yum.

now I'm on my break from a break.

doesn't that look like fun? it's titanic. this reminded me of the part in the movie when the people were falling down and sliding down the ship. I remember how much I wanted to do that. guess I can.

also stumbled across this.

this made me laugh. if only it were real. then I wouldn't feel so short! plus, I hate that people view me from an upward angle. this way, we're all at an equal height.

started watching some of "kirstie allie's big life." another sign that I need to hit up the weight-loss train.

joshuyas.

yup. I had sushi for dinner whilst watching the amazing race. overall, good way to spend my birthday. unfortunately I didn't get to really go out or anything, but perhaps this weekend. had the cherry blossom, vegetable tempura, salad, and miso soup. yum!

I got a Roth IRA for my bday from my parents which I'm pretty excited about! I know Suze would approve.

now onto studying...and maybe some chatroulette later...who knows

nothing too eventful here.

22.

it's my birthday today and I'm now 22. I'm basically over the hill. it is slightly depressing. "new year, new you." I'll be serious about my diet. I'll really try.

mass.

I really didn't get to do much on the trip. we were mostly there to help my sister out as she moved (out of tyler where the weirdos live and) into king house. She was dealing with the "roommate issue" (her roommate basically stole her identity, logged into her email account and deleted important emails thus sabotaging her academic career and her relationships with her professors).

there's tyler, the old house.

the old room.

there's king.

and there's her new single!

went to boston.

the man with the gray hair in the back was the same tour guide we had when navigating this famous cemetery back in 2004!

we ran into this beany baby that drew a close resemblance to charlene's stuffed duck miu.

that's the face miu makes.

and for those that don't know, here's miu in his pink smith hoodie.

a squirrel looked back at me.

got to see mary too!

I did take the time to make an attempt to be a psudo-photographer and express my artistic side.

our carry on.

the iron gate in front of tyler.

random alley way.

lot of brick.

a watering can.

a park.

the snow just finished melting. (plants are dead)

lichen.

on the streets of boston.

"C's" with exposure.

fun with blur.

"drain".

some kind of fruit. looked like cherry tomatoes.

this looked like blueberries.

pine.

a budding plant.

some dead plant.

a droplet of water on a branch. (I'm obsessed with bokeh if you can't tell)

I realize that all the pictures on small. if you click on them, I think it does it better justice.

fattening week.

I was in northampton and boston earlier this week. I took this as an opportunity to break away from a nonexistent diet and eat like crazy. here are a few of the things I ate...

I had these haddock fish and chips from big y -- lemme tell you, they are some of the best I've ever had. fresh, not frozen. so good I ate there twice. I liked they way there was a "newspaper print" piece of parchment paper in the box. it gave it a real authentic feel.

note that this is a pic from the second time I ate. the first time I jumped right in and stuffed my face until I had realized that I forgot to take a pic. so here we are!

went to boston and ate at joe's on newbury street for lunch. got a seat by the window, which made for the perfect opportunity to people watch.

here's my dad with the sunglasses I got him for christmas. note, he's wearing these indoors because it was an enclosed "sidewalk" dining space and everyone else wore their's indoors. it was sunny and the weather was good that day.

there's my sister wearing hers! don't they look cool? got them for her as a gift as well.

they served fresh baked sourdough and butter. bread and butter can be so good sometimes and this was no exception.

ordered the rotisserie special of the day: leg of lamb with mint jus. so good!

on another day, back in downtown northampton, we ate at brunch at sylvester's, the house of the creator of the graham cracker, sylvester graham.

irish eggs benedict (swapped canadian bacon for the corn beef hash). my fist time having eggs benedict too. so rich = so good.

the hollandaise was basically butter and yolks. probably 3,000 calories.

two pics because they're that good. the sprinkle of paprika made me think that the person plating this was middle eastern. (they're so fond of putting paprika on everything).

my dad got the steak and eggs with gorgonzola butter! scrambled eggs and house made wheat toast on the side.

finally went to a dunkin donuts! ...since there is no franchises in california. tried the ice coffee, which was decent, and two munchkins (donut holes).
my mom with hers.

and I with mine. no pics of the munchkins because like the fish and chips the first time, I ate them before I got the chance to snap a pic! oh well.

probably gained 15 pounds. in need of a detox STAT
